Precision Forming for High-Oxygen Combustion

In the production of multi-hole charcoal, the compression force and structural precision of the holes directly dictate the final combustion efficiency. Guoxin’s integrated production line is engineered around High-Pressure Mechanical Punching Technology. By synchronizing four critical industrial stages—crushing, homogeneous mixing, high-pressure forming, and controlled drying—we transform loose charcoal powder into high-calorific, high-strength briquettes.


The Four Core Stages of Production

Step 1: Precision Crushing & Pulverizing

To ensure a smooth surface finish and uniform internal density, raw materials must be pre-conditioned. Our pulverizing system refines carbonized biomass or coal fines to under 3mm, creating the ideal particle size for high-density compression.

Step 2: Double-Shaft Homogeneous Mixing

The structural integrity of a briquette depends on the uniform distribution of binders. Our double-shaft mixers ensure that charcoal powder, accelerants, and binders are thoroughly blended. This achieves perfect moisture consistency, preventing cracks or structural failure during the high-pressure punching phase.

Step 3: High-Pressure Mechanical Punching (The Core Forming Stage)

This is the heart of the production line. Utilizing a Mechanical Punching Press, the material is instantaneously compacted within the mold by massive vertical pressure while precision pins create the airflow channels. This process achieves a density of $\ge$1.3g/cm³, far exceeding the capabilities of traditional screw-extrusion equipment.

Step 4: Continuous Multi-Layer Mesh Belt Drying

Freshly formed “green” briquettes are conveyed into a multi-layer mesh belt dryer. Using a precision temperature-controlled environment (typically 60°C – 80°C), the system removes moisture to below 5% without compromising the multi-hole structure, making the product ready for immediate packaging.

  • Superior Structural Integrity: Unlike rotary extrusion, mechanical punching generates minimal friction heat. This preserves the molecular structure of the charcoal, resulting in a product that is more durable during transport and offers a longer burn time.

  • Adjustable “Multi-hole” Patterns: Our quick-change mold system supports 9-hole, 12-hole, 19-hole, and custom configurations to meet specific airflow and combustion requirements of different regional markets.

  • Consistent High Density: The mechanical crankshaft and linkage system ensure that every single punch delivers constant pressure, eliminating the common industry pain point of uneven density and irregular briquette sizing.

Q1: Why must multi-hole charcoal use a Punching (Press) process instead of Extrusion?

A: Extrusion processes struggle to maintain high density while creating precise vertical holes. Mechanical punching provides a massive, instantaneous downward force. This ensures the briquettes do not crumble or expand unevenly when burning, maintaining the “natural chimney effect” throughout the combustion cycle.

Q2: What is the durability of the forming molds?

A: We use High-Manganese Alloy Steel for all core forming components. Even when processing highly abrasive charcoal powder, a single mold set has a service life of 2,000 to 3,000 tons and features a modular design for rapid replacement.

Q3: Can the production line adjust the height and hole diameter of the briquettes?

A: Yes. By adjusting the stroke of the punching press and swapping the punching pins, you can easily customize the thickness and airflow diameter of the briquettes to meet specific commercial or residential thermal requirements.
