Horizontal Carbonization Furnace
The Horizontal Biomass Carbonization Furnace is the industrial standard for large-scale production of high-fixed-carbon charcoal. Designed with a high-capacity square chamber, it is the primary choice for carbonizing mechanism charcoal (sawdust briquettes) and uniform timber logs. This horizontal configuration ensures stable thermal distribution, resulting in a consistent, high-quality end product suitable for both professional catering and industrial applications.

Horizontal Carbonization Furnace
Our furnace utilizes a controlled thermal cycle to ensure the structural integrity of the charcoal while maximizing carbon purity:
Drying Stage (< 160 °C): Initial ignition raises the internal temperature, utilizing external heat to evaporate residual moisture in the raw material.
Initial Stage of Carbonization (160 °C – 280 °C): Thermal decomposition begins. At this point, unstable components like hemicellulose break down, releasing CO_2, CO, and small amounts of organic acids.
Full Carbonization Stage (300 °C – 800 °C): The material undergoes intensive chemical change, resulting in high-density charcoal with significantly increased fixed carbon content.
High-Yield Continuity: The horizontal design allows for massive batch loading, ensuring the continuity of production for industrial-scale operations.
Integrated Syngas Recycling: All combustible gases produced during pyrolysis are returned to the furnace for combustion, achieving zero waste gas pollution and drastically reducing fuel consumption.
Precision Temperature Control: Features a controllable and adjustable carbonization temperature system, allowing operators to fine-tune the process for specific feedstock densities.
Durability & Heat Transfer: The carbonization chamber is constructed from high-heat transfer and high-wear resistance composite materials, ensuring long-term operational stability.
This furnace is the preferred technology for:
Mechanism Charcoal: Transforming sawdust briquettes into high-density, long-burning charcoal logs.
Wood Logs & Branches: Ideal for fruitwood or hardwood carbonization for the premium BBQ market.
Bamboo & Nut Shells: Efficiently processes dense biomass into high-purity charcoal.
How does the “Close and Extinguish” feature work?
A: Our furnace uses a closed and extinguished coke system that allows for rapid cooling of the charcoal in an oxygen-free environment once the full carbonization stage is complete, preventing accidental combustion and preserving carbon weight.
Can the furnace run 24/7?
A: Yes. While it operates in large batches, the integrated syngas recycling and heavy-duty composite lining are designed for continuous heating cycles in an industrial environment.
