  • Installation Date: July 20, 2026

  • Project Location: Jining, Shandong Province, China

  • Core Machinery: Industrial Rotary Drum Dryer, Continuous Rotary Carbonization Furnace, Bucket Elevator Conveyor, High-Efficiency Cyclone Dust Collector, Centralized PLC Automation Cabinet

  • Primary Objective: Integrated continuous moisture reduction and thermal pyrolysis for high-moisture biomass feedstock

Project Background & Operational Context

For industrial processing facilities handling high-moisture biomass residuals (such as wood chips, sawdust, or agricultural processing fines), achieving a stable carbonization cycle requires precise pre-drying. Feeding wet biomass directly into a high-temperature carbonization retort lowers internal chamber temperatures, increases fuel consumption, and results in incomplete thermochemical conversion.

On July 20, 2026, Henan Guoxin Machinery completed the structural positioning and mechanical assembly of a continuous drying and pyrolysis line at a client facility in Jining, Shandong Province. The system is engineered to perform uninterrupted pre-drying and anaerobic carbonization in a synchronized, single-pass operational flow.

Industrial Rotary Drum Dryer

Integrated System Configuration & Technical Sequence

[Raw Wet Feedstock] ➔ [Rotary Drum Dryer] ➔ [Bucket Elevator] ➔ [Continuous Carbonization Retort] ➔ [Water-Cooled Discharge]
                                                                ↓
[Cyclone Gas Purification] ➔ [Syngas Thermal Recirculation]

1. Primary Dehydration: Industrial Rotary Drum Dryer

Raw feedstock with high moisture content is metered into the Rotary Drum Dryer.

  • Thermal Heat Exchange: Internal flighting plates continuously lift and cascade the material through a controlled hot-air stream.

  • Moisture Stabilization: Systematically reduces incoming moisture to under 15%, ensuring uniform particle mass and preventing thermal shock upon entering the high-temperature carbonization phase.

2. Sealed Material Transfer: Vertical Bucket Elevator

Dried material exiting the rotary dryer is automatically transferred via an enclosed Bucket Elevator. The vertical design minimizes plant footprint while preventing ambient dust emissions during inter-stage material handling.

3. Continuous Thermochemical Pyrolysis: Rotary Carbonization Furnace

The conditioned biomass enters the Continuous Rotary Carbonization Retort:

  • Multi-Burner Array: Equipped with multiple gas burners and proportional control valves mounted along the lower furnace wall, maintaining controlled processing temperatures between 400°C and 600°C.

  • Dynamic Retort Rotation: Constant cylinder rotation ensures continuous tumbling of the material bed, guaranteeing uniform residence time and preventing localized ash formation.

  • PLC Touchscreen Control: System variables—including rotation speed (VFD driven), chamber draft pressure, and thermal zone readings—are monitored and regulated via a floor-mounted electrical control panel.

4. Emission Control & Syngas Recirculation

Pyrolytic exhaust gas generated during thermal cracking is routed through a high-efficiency Cyclone Dust Collector to separate entrained carbon fines. The purified combustible gas (syngas) is then redirected back to the furnace burners to sustain the pyrolysis process, substantially lowering external fuel reliance during continuous operation.

On-Site Installation & Engineering Verification Highlights

During the July 20 installation phase, field engineers executed key verification procedures:

  • Structural Skid Alignment: Heavy-duty steel support frames were leveled and anchored to withstand rotational torque and long-term thermal expansion.

  • Anaerobic Ducting Sealing: High-temperature flanged connections and expansion joints were pressure-tested to ensure zero oxygen infiltration into the carbonization retort.

  • Electrical Interlock Integration: Cabling for thermocouple arrays, VFD drive motors, and emergency shutoff valves was routed and integrated into the primary PLC control terminal for pre-commissioning testing.
