Project Overview

On June 17, 2026, the engineering team at Guoxin Machinery executed a comprehensive workshop trial run of our industrial-scale continuous carbonization furnace.

The mechanical test targeted the continuous, high-efficiency processing of small wood blocks and forestry residuals, verifying structural feeding parameters, automated PLC multi-zone thermal control, and output material quality under simulated continuous production conditions.

System Configuration & Process Execution

The test configuration consisted of an integrated, indirect-fired rotary carbonization drum assembly operated via a centralized electrical control console.

  • Automated Feeding: Small raw wood blocks were metered continuously into the pyrolysis chamber via an enclosed, air-locked screw feeder mechanism to prevent oxygen infiltration.
  • Thermal Processing: The furnace zones were systematically brought to optimal pyrolysis temperatures (450°C – 650°C). The flaring mechanism visible in the background demonstrates the efficient extraction and clean combustion of volatile gases.
  • Energy Recovery: The trial successfully validated the system’s closed-loop capability, isolating combustible syngas from the wood blocks and recycling it back to feed the main burners, reducing external fuel reliance.

Material Output Evaluation

The finished charcoal chips demonstrate excellent quality standards required by the industrial solid fuel and biochar sectors:

  • High Uniformity: 100% thermal conversion was achieved across the batch, leaving zero unburnt raw wooden cores or structural fractures.
  • Structural Purity: The processed material retained its structural particulate definition without turning into excessive, low-value fly ash, proving the gentle and controlled material advancement within the rotary kiln.
  • Commercial Viability: The resulting fixed-carbon concentrated char is immediately ready for high-pressure briquetting or direct integration into industrial smelting and heating applications.

Technical Parameters Checked

  • Feedstock Type: Small Wood Blocks / Hardwood Residual Chips
  • Operation Mode: Fully Continuous Automated Production
  • Core Technology: Indirect Heating, Sealed Oxygen-Free Pyrolysis, Syngas Recirculation
  • Control System: Siemens PLC integration with live multi-zone thermocouple monitoring
