Biomass waste materials like Moso bamboo and fruitwoods (such as Lychee wood) are globally recognized for producing premium charcoal due to their high fixed carbon content and excellent caloric value. However, processing these distinct hardwood and fibrous charcoal powders into standardized, high-density retail commodities requires precise pressure management and uniform binder distribution.
On July 10, 2026, the technical R&D team at Guoxin Machinery conducted a full-cycle workshop test run for a global investor. The goal was to verify the structural integrity, surface finish, and extrusion efficiency of a multi-feedstock blend using our latest integrated hydraulic briquetting line.
The pre-carbonized Moso bamboo and lychee wood charcoal fines were first fed into our heavy-duty industrial wheel muller mixer. Unlike standard agitators, the heavy rollers of the muller mixer exert constant crushing and shearing forces, breaking down any micro-clumps in the carbon powder to ensure a completely uniform particle matrix.
During the continuous mixing phase, a precise ratio of food-grade, organic binder powder was added directly into the muller. Water was introduced gradually to activate the binder. The synchronized rotation allowed the liquid and starch molecules to thoroughly coat every individual charcoal particle, optimizing the rheology required for zero-defect high-pressure compression.
The perfectly conditioned charcoal paste was transferred to the feeding hopper of the Hydraulic Charcoal Briquette Forming Machine.
Airtight Compaction: Utilizing advanced hydraulic cylinder metrics, the machine applied immense vertical structural pressure to force out all micro-air pockets from the charcoal paste.
Precision Extrusion: The mixture was smoothly extruded through CNC-machined alloy dies into standard hexagonal hollow logs. The center hole was perfectly formed to create a chimney effect for optimized airflow during combustion.
The test run achieved a 100% qualification rate on the first extrusion cycle. The resulting hexagonal charcoal briquettes demonstrated exceptional structural density and a premium appearance.
